This started as a crash course in destruction. I downloaded the building from KitBash and spent time prepping it in Maya cleaning the geo, cutting it up for RBD, and doing the UVs (which took longer than I expected). I blocked the shots and did the full layout and pre-viz in Maya so the timing and camera moves felt right. Then I brought the scene into Houdini to drive the FX sims, debris, dust, and the big explosion and finally rendered everything out. Goal was to learn destruction pipelines, sharpen my pipeline skills, and make something huge that actually reads on screen
